Travellers urged to confirm bookings before heading to airport
DUBAI/ABU DHABI – Airlines in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are continuing to operate limited international flights as regional airspace restrictions remain in place, with carriers gradually adjusting schedules while monitoring operational conditions across the region.
Major UAE carriers including Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai and Air Arabia are maintaining reduced networks while restoring selected services across global routes.
Airlines have also urged travellers to rely only on official airline platforms when managing bookings or requesting refunds, following warnings about fraudulent messages and fake accounts impersonating carriers on social media.
In a separate development, UAE authorities are allowing expatriates who were abroad and whose residency visas expired on or after February 28 to return without obtaining a new entry permit until March 31, addressing exceptional travel disruptions that prevented some residents from returning earlier.

Etihad Airways
Abu Dhabi’s national carrier Etihad Airways is continuing to operate scheduled services and has published an updated list of flights operating until March 16.

Guests with confirmed bookings will be accommodated on available flights, while new tickets for operating services can be purchased online. The airline has also warned passengers about fraudulent accounts offering fake refund forms and reminded travellers to rely only on official communication channels.
flydubai
Dubai-based airline flydubai continues operating a reduced network across its international routes.
Passengers booked between February 28 and March 31 may rebook their flights to the same destination within 30 days of the original travel date without penalty.
Connections through Dubai are allowed only when the onward flight is confirmed and operating, and travellers are advised to check flight status before travelling to the airport.
Air Arabia
Low-cost carrier Air Arabia has started operating a limited number of flights to and from the UAE, subject to operational and regulatory approvals.
Flights are currently operating between the airline’s UAE hubs in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah and a range of international destinations between March 6 and March 22.
Destinations include Vienna in Austria; Chittagong and Dhaka in Bangladesh; Cairo, Alexandria, Assiut and Cairo-Sphinx in Egypt; Addis Ababa in Ethiopia; Athens in Greece; and Milan-Bergamo in Italy.
Across Asia and the Middle East, flights are operating to cities including Amman, Almaty, Kathmandu, Colombo, Bangkok and Istanbul, while services also connect to Nairobi and Entebbe in Africa.
The airline is also maintaining several routes to India and Pakistan, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and other major cities.
Passengers wishing to travel can book available flights through the airline’s website, mobile application or travel agents. Customers whose flights were previously cancelled may also rebook if they have not yet used their refund or modification option.
